BRYANT COLLEGE STUDENT HONOROED AT GLOBAL CONFERENCE
FOR EXCELLENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Quaker Hill, CT 11/18/2003 – Typical college
students are concerned about preparing for tests,
getting up for class, and making plans for the
weekend. The less ordinary ones, like James Nicholas,
from Bryant College, Rhode Island are worried
about satisfying his customers, keeping up with
his hectic work schedule, and pondering decisions
to improve his business, all with the heavy load
of schoolwork on his shoulders. James Nicholas,
along with fourteen other finalists from around
the globe were honored at the CEO (Collegiate
Entrepreneurs’ Organization) conference in Chicago,
November 6-8.
James Nicholas owns and operates JE2000, LLC
(www.je2000.com),
a global web services company specializing in
web hosting. He has been running his business
since a sophomore in high school, 1997. He has
customers from all over the world. James say’s,
“In a such a competitive business, he sets himself
apart by providing high quality customer service,
24X7 support, support of multiple programming
languages, full e-commerce solutions, and listening
to any special needs of the customer.” James is
graduating from Bryant College in December of
this year, a semester ahead of schedule. He plans
to continue to grow his business and devote more
time to web development, training and usability
testing.
The Global Student EntrepreneurSM Awards, a two-tiered
program, originated at, and is run by Saint Louis
University’s Jeffereson Smurfit Center for Entrepreneurial
Studies. James won the New England Collegiate
Entrepreneur of the Year. Eighteen regions including
all of North America, the Caribbean, China, Australia,
New Zealand, and Sweden participate in the awards
program. The first-place winner from each of the
regions competed for first place and a prize of
